CLG Response for NRHP Nomination

The Mowers House will be considered by the Kansas Historic Sites Board of Review (HSBR) for nomination to the Register of Historic Kansas Places at its meeting on Saturday, June 27, 2026. The HSBR will also make a recommendation for nominations proposed for the National Register of Historic Places. The Topeka Landmarks Commission is being notified because the property is within the boundaries of Topeka. Per the requirements of 36 CFR 60-61 and Section IV of the Procedures for Implementation of Certified Local Governments in Kansas, the historic resources commission has the opportunity to comment on this nomination. In accordance with Section IV (C), the State Historic Preservation Office requests receipt of the commission’s recommendation within 60 days or by June 26, 2026.
